The title of this episode has been acknowledged as the source for the corporate name Big Finish Productions, a company that began producing BBC-licensed audio dramas based upon the Doctor Who franchise in 1999. Episode writer Steven Moffat would, himself, go on to become producer of Doctor Who in 2009.
