    Quality episode.

Jeff's old flame Freya Cargill steps back into his life, and asks him to reopen a ten year old case, involving her father Andrew, a case in which Jeff's conclusion of the case caused them to split.

I used to watch this series quite regularly, but haven't for some time, and The Bog People was always an episode I didn't connect with, however just completing it, I really did enjoy it.

Several talking points, Freya, The Bog People, and of course that hilarious duo of Mark Williams and Celia Imrie.

There's a good deal of mystery, why are The Bog People so well preserved, and who or what is running around the place, the story unravels in satisfying style.

Freya's twist, that was so well done, and quite moving, she played the part very well, it also gave us an idea of how Jeannie feels about Jeff.

Williams and Imrie, hilarious, they made it, a super funny duo, I loved his cutting sarcasm, it was relentless.

Best moment, that fight scene at the end, it was like an homage to the original show. It felt wonderfully 1960's, the music was great.

    Hard to fault, 8/10.

    • Trivia
The museum guide mentions that the male of the bog people was killed by several methods (I.e., bashed in the head, garrotted, throat slashed, staked face down). This was actually done and believed by archaeologists it was because each of the ancient peoples deities had to be satisfied by a different method of death.

Marty Hopkirk: What exactly are you expecting to find? A letter saying "I didn't do it, signed Arthur Scargill?"

      Jeff Randall: Andrew Cargill.

      Marty Hopkirk: Yeah, whatever.
