    OK if you're not hoping for 'Lost in Space'-style space-pirates (part 1)

    After disabling the cargo ship on which Space Rangers Vena and Reggie are travelling, space-pirates (who are secretly supported by the rogue planet Ophecius) plunder the cargo, and callously leave the powerless ship and its crew to drift endlessly in space. Concerned by the recurrent loss of rockets in the area, Secretary of Space Drake dispatches Rocky to investigate, unwittingly sending the Orbit Jet in to a diabolical Ophecian trap. Chapter 1 of 'The Pirates of Prah' 3-parter is pretty typical of the series but is livened up a bit by a rocket battle (albeit brief), some hard-core nastiness on the part of the pirates and a clever final segment, in which Vena and Reggie, their space-radios knocked out, try to communicate with the Orbit Jet. Generally a good episode of the old space-opera.
