    Carrie and Big's Breaking Point

So, the season 1 finale of Sex and the City was pretty good. Carrie hits that wall with Big - he still won't introduce her to his mom and when she does meet her, he brushes her off. That was kind of the breaking point, and you can just feel Carrie realizing they're not on the same page, so she ends things. It's sad, but it also feels like the right move. The other girls have their little storylines too - Miranda being skeptical about commitment, Charlotte still dreaming about perfect romance, and Samantha doing her usual no-strings-attached thing. But it's Carrie and Big's breakup that makes the episode hit hard. As a finale, I liked that it wasn't wrapped up in a neat bow - it's messy, it's real, and it sets the tone for the show going forward. It's bittersweet, but in a way that makes you want to see what happens next.

    Funny

I like the bits where you can see the boom mic in the shot. I like when that happens
