Prey

Sheena kills two guys before the titles already, so you know this time she won't be kidding. Sheena wants Cutter to take the identity of one of the dead, the hunter Jeff Davis. There is a competition of hunters who want to kill rare, endangered species, and Cutter becomes Sheena's undercover agent to prevent that. However, the organizer of the hunt plays a different game then they expect, and the hunters become the hunted...

Surely the story is ripped off from 'The Most Dangerous Game', but there is more thrill and suspense than in most episodes. As far as the violent action is concerned, I noticed during the opening scene when Sheena kills the real Davis, there were a few seconds cut in the German TV broadcast while the Spanish DVD version was uncut.

Enough variation to be its own story, but still "The Deadliest Game" in spirit, and therefore a heavier episode.

Reasons to watch: -as per usual, a strong guest star (in this case, Tom Nowicki). I do miss Kevin Quigley (his Mendelsohn character isn't in this episode), but Nowicki's character brings out a more serious side of Cutter, which Nelson handles with good subtlety.
