As his team brainstorms about the patient's condition, House refers to how much she is sleeping and says they should check for evil stepmothers. This is a reference to many fairy tales including Snow White and the poisoned apple. Dr. Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) later went on to play the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming in Once Upon A Time (2011).

Goofs
When doing a brain MRI, doctors need to put a special piece over the head to show the intersections of the brain so that, if something does show up, they have an accurate idea of exactly where it is; however, House's team does not use one when they give Elise an MRI to see if there is a tumor.
