The Last Thing We Can Imagine

I really enjoyed this episode. Once again the investigation hits all kinds of roadblocks. There are at least a couple times when the potential solution could cause death. I know we are supposed to see the mother as the heavy, but her concerns are certainly valid when it comes to her son. I know that the characters in this show are deliberately unconventional, but a more understanding approach might have worked better to get her cooperation. House is an insensitive juggernaut, and let's face it, he is guessing much of the time. She is overbearing, but he is often a bully and more experienced at overwhelming someone.

    • Trivia
House and Chase argue over whether Chase is "British;" Hugh Laurie, who plays House, actually is British. Australia does in fact put the British Queen Elizabeth II on their money, as they are a Commonwealth member country.
    • Goofs
When Margo is alone with Matt, and Matt starts to spasm, she is wearing glasses. The next shot shows her outside the room calling a nurse, without glasses. When she is in the room again, the glasses are back on.
    • Quotes

Dr. Gregory House: I assume "minimal at best" is your stiff-upper-lip British way of saying "no chance in hell."

      Dr. Robert Chase: I'm Australian.

Dr. Gregory House: You put the Queen on your money. You're British.
