    John Doe: Part II

David Banner(Bill Bixby) is still out in the wilderness with Jack McGee(Jack Colvin) his head heavily bandaged so that he can't be recognized as David Banner. A forest fire and a wolf pack are approaching their camp, and David splints Jack's broken leg and builds a makeshift litter to carry him to safety, as his memory comes back to him, and the seriousness of the situation fully dawns on him, though he must save McGee's life as he opens up about why he follows the Hulk. Action-packed finale of this story changes the narrative focus as McGee now knows it is a man who turns into the Hulk, still not knowing it is David. Fine acting by the two stars in memorable two-part episode.

    • Quotes

Dr. David Bruce Banner: Why do you want the Hulk so badly?

Jack McGee: Because the Hulk means escape, get it? It's the biggest story of the 20th century. I could win a Pulitzer for journalism. More importantly, I could get off a the Register. I could stop banging out pap for the supermarket masses. I could get my column back, write real stories. Important stories. I could be somebody!
