Moving and funny, it's a classic.

When Jonathan and Maddy attend The Jonathan Creek fan club, they get caught up in a bizarre death, accidental on the surface, but all is not as it seems.

Perfect mix, it's intriguing, it's funny, it's well acted, episodes like this are the reason I keep checking to see if the show will one day return.

It's wonderfully clever, the incident, something so small and insignificant has so much relevance, it's just a brilliant piece of writing.

Geoff and the other fans are a riot, and make the episode feel very, very different.

That scene between Kathleen and Jacqui was just incredible, it's one of the best moments of the show in my opinion, it's the acting, the meaning, the words, it's just so moving, credit to both Dinah Sheridan and Hetty Baynes.

I adored the Jacqui, Baynes is so beautiful, but there is some real death to the character. Quentin is outstanding here as is Davies. Just look at the cast list for this one, it's impressive.

    A classic, 9/10.

BBC lawyers insisted that the prop makers check out the titles of the fictitious 'girlie magazines' seen in the episode, to ensure they didn't inadvertently use the title of a real one.
    • Goofs
The disappearing trick would only really work on terrain where the illusionist could move silently, or their audience was particularly hard of hearing. Paul and Jonathan are in the same style shoes on rough terrain, where their footfalls are clearly audible and it would be exceedingly difficult to move both silently and swiftly. However, just for the trick, suddenly only Paul's feet make noise.
