Trivia
The part of Dennis Finch was written specifically for David Spade: it was added after the original pilot had already been taped. Before it was added, there was a minor secretary character called Connor, but he bore little resemblance to Finch.

Goofs
In the initial scene between Maya and her roommate Wally, Maya's coat alternates between being open. and almost closed. The second take may have been necessitated due to Laura San Giacomo's extremely visible nipple when the coat is open, something usually frowned upon by the mainstream networks.
