Goofs
Doug buys a new car he can't afford and the dealer refuses to take it back. However, the Federal Trade Commission has a "cooling off" period that permits consumers to cancel a contract and get a full refund within three days. The State of New York (where the show is set) requires the seller to give a "Notice of Cancellation" form that starts the three-day clock. Doug should have been able to return the car with no hassles.
