Cute but silly. Writers needed an education into the jewelry business

It doesn't take a week to size a ring. Maybe a day. If your jeweler can't resize a ring on premises, he's not a jeweler. Changing reality to match your story line is on the list of thing you never do in a TV show unless it's about science fiction.

    • Trivia
While Doug is channel-surfing his new satellite dish, he comes across Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993). Ten and a half months after this episode first premiered, Kevin James' recurring co-star Merrin Dungey made a one-time appearance on the NBC sitcom. Leah Remini had played Stacey Calosi in six episodes of the original Saved by the Bell in 1991.
    • Goofs
When Doug and Carrie reenact her getting the ring at the Jets game, a fan knocks Carries drink out of her hand. Doug offers her his drink but when he picked his cup up it was also clearly empty from being spilled.
    • Quotes

Arthur Spooner: [after Carrie complains about the heat in the hot tub] It's alright, I'm getting out anyway. I'm in my birthday suit, so if you're shy, look away.

Doug Heffernan: [Catching a glimpse of Arthur's nudity] Oh! Oh!

Arthur Spooner: It's called gravity, Douglas, and it's coming for ya!
