both king and queen are certifiable

after having watched this show in rerun several times ,it now occurs to me that both Carrie and Doug are borderline insane.. Most sitcoms have a normal spouse that reacts to the zany one.. (see the honeymooners).. In King of Queens both characters are Ralph Cramden.. They alternate between episodes as to which one is the the most bonkers.. Some episodes it is a tie...

Throw in Arthur and we have a regular coo-coo's nest.. The show is hilarious, well written and well acted. None better that Jerry Stiller... (a comic genius).. Also nice to see Ann Meara in a recurring role as Spences' mom...

The only continuing voice of reason is Deacon.. As far as I can tell he is the only character on the show that has it more or less together.. The rest are certifiable..albeit hilarious..

    • Trivia
The song played during the club scene is, "Gonna Make You Sweat", by C+C Music Factory.
    • Goofs
When Doug is riding in the convertible at the end, there is only 1 sticker on his windshield ( there should be 2 ) and that sticker doesn't look like a NY motor vehicle sticker.
    • Quotes

Lynn: Do you... you know, get in to a lot of fights at the club?

Doug Heffernan: Well, you know, it is... it's... I try everything I can not to fight. It's like I tell my boys. Always be nice. Be very nice. Until it's time to not be nice. Then... be very not nice.

      Lynn: [laughs] I love that!

Doug Heffernan: Yeah, I can't take full credit though. Patrick Swayze said it at Road House.

Lynn: Oh, I never saw that movie.

Doug Heffernan: You never saw it...? It's only the greatest movie ever made except for Risky Business.
