Joe Riley, you've got a bride

One of the sillier Laredo stories occurs here and it begins with William Smith saving Irene Tsu from being taken by force to be the bride of exiled general Henry Silva. That wedding isn't Tsu's idea and she is forever grateful and his for life.

But that general is now in Mexico with a lot of his men looking to set up the opium trade. It's Phil Carey's intention to use Tsu as the bait in a trap. Silva certainly has an itch that apparently only Tsu can scratch.

The whole thing gets downright dopey when we have people from the "syndicate" meeting with Silva. I mean really folks even little kids know that those kind of people don't exist at that point.

I think the Laredo writers were running out of ideas.
