    Pacifism and sweet reason

The sight of Neville Brand in Quaker garb ought to be worth tuning in to see this Laredo story. Not only is he looking like a Quaker, he's even thinking like one under the tutelage of Barbara Anderson. She's the daughter of Malcom Atterbury, head of a small colony of Quaker farmers who cattleman Edward Faulkner of the informal John Wayne stock company wants run off. But no violence especially because he kind of like Anderson.

But sad to say Faulkner hired gunman Ric Royal and the crew he's brought with them enjoy their work. Especially against a crowd that won't fight back. It's why the Texas Rangers are there.

Big screen film fans will note some elements in the story from both Friendly Persuasion and The Angel And The Badman. That's also reason to see this one.
