    The Champ

If someone had it mind to remake those old MGM films that starred Wallace Beery and Jackie Cooper back in the 60s they should have screened this Laredo story.

When you see Neville Brand and little Rick Natoli in their scenes together you will most definitely hearken back to seeing The Champ and Treasure Island. In fact this could have opened a whole new career for Brand doing those kind of films had they been in vogue. As it is The Champ would be remade with Jon Voight and Rick Schroder. And Treasure Island has had several incarnations.

Natoli is a young Indian kid whose family was wiped out by horse stealing outlaws and he and Brand kind of bond, but only after he's shot the cantankerous Ranger in the old gluteus maximimus with one of his kid size arrows.

Definitely one of the best Laredo shows for their second season.
