    • Trivia
Writer/producer Stirling Silliphant was a student and personal friend of Bruce Lee, and he modeled the character Li Tsung - and indeed this entire episode - upon Lee and his style and philosophy of martial arts. All of Bruce Lee's philosophical dialogue in the show are direct quotes from his own interviews and writings; essentially Bruce Lee is seen here portraying himself.

Li Tsung: [about Jeet Kune Do] Empty your mind, Be formless, shapeless, like water. Now if you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. Put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or creep or drip or crash. Be water my friend.
