One of Many Mediocre Season 5 Shows

When her office tricks fail in getting Mooney to co-sign for new furniture, Lucy hatches a money-making plan based on Colonel Bailey's Baked Beans money-back guarantee.

This episode plays more like a single-camera sitcom than an episode of THE LUCY SHOW especially during the quick-cut supermarket sceness, and when Bailey and his employee go over the sales graph.

It doesn't really make sense that the Colonel would hand Lucy a $1500 cheque when she's just destroyed his warehouse with a forklift.

The best part is at the very end when Lucy tastes the beans and realizes she's made a terrible mistake. It's the only realistic aspect of the episode, and as such stands out.

The script makes reference to Clint Walker's character Frank Winslow from last season, but he does not appear.

Mary Jane's hair has been darkened since last season and she fills the Viv role in this one nicely.
