- Dr. Karen Harmon: Good friends are very hard to find, aren't they? Are you my friend, Thomas? I mean... *really* my friend?
- Magnum: [in that low, husky voice] Of course I'm your friend, Karen.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: Oh, God, Thomas, what is wrong with me?
- [covers her face with her hands]
- Magnum: You're going through a tough time. Anybody else would have fallen apart by now.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: I'm afraid that I am. I mean... I just wanna cry all the time. Or else I want... I wanna curl up into a little ball...
- [her hands clutching her shoulders]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: and let someone hold me... and tell me I'm all right... and that it's okay.
- [Magnum puts his arms around her shoulders]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: And that...
- [sobs]
- Magnum: Karen, you're gonna be all right.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: I wish I could believe that. I wish you'd believe it.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: I'm fine. It's, uh, it's just that I've never been in jail before. It was so horrible.
- Higgins: I know too well what you mean.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: They fingerprinted me.
- [shudders]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: And, uh... and then they body-searched me. And then they... they put me in this room that, uhm... that smelled of... of smoke and sweat... and urine. It was... like one of those terrible interrogation cells at London Prison.
- Higgins: Dr. Harmon, perhaps you shouldn't talk about this.
- Dr. Karen Harmon: The thing is... there was... there was a point where... I didn't... I really, really didn't know if what they were saying about me was true or not.
- Higgins: Dr. Harmon...
- Dr. Karen Harmon: It's been happening a lot lately. Dr. Jorgenson came to see me to
- [snickers]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: forgive me for my mistake. I heard myself saying... that I hadn't done it. But somewhere inside of me... I knew that I had. That... that what he was saying was right.
- [stammers]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: I wanted so badly to be forgiven.
- [sighs despondently]
- Dr. Karen Harmon: You see, that's what scares me. I can't remember anything. Do you think I could have done it and not remember?
