Wyoming is known as the equality state and for good reason, it was the first place to allow women the right to vote. And according to this episode the first women to exercise the franchise were those on the Wagon Train skippered by Major Seth Adams.

Claire Trevor is our guest star here and she plays a working reporter something along the lines of Nelly Bly. Ward Bond who was most conservative as Major Adams and in real life is not about to have this funny business on his Wagon Train. A woman's place is in the home even if the home is a Conestoga wagon.

Trevor does a fine job in a role that was more written for someone like Katharine Hepburn or Rosalind Russell. And Bond plays well off her the way Spencer Tracy did with Kate.
