Tom Bower is not age appropriate to play Mary Ellen's love interest

Tom Bower is a year older than Michael Learned (Olivia Walton, Mary Ellen Walton's mother) and 20 years older than Judy Norton. David Spenser would have been a better choice.

    Decent 2 part episode

Not the greatest episode but definately engaging. It was also a return to Erin being really immature having burnt the note that curt leaves.

People have beef with the actors not being age appropriate my beef is with she pretty much hates Curt till they kiss and then immediately marries him. At least with David they were dating for awhile, I feel the Curt-Mary Ellen relationship would have been more believable if they didn't get married immediately.

I mean if you take issue with age appropriate look at Richard & Michael, they are only about 10 years apart. That is a far less believable Mother & Son relationship.

    • Quotes

Narrator: [narration as John 'John Boy' Walton, Jr. reading from his journal] On Waltons Mountain our family ties were strengthened by hardship. The walls of our house protected us from wind and weather, and we managed somehow to survive grief, and illness and disappointment. Who, then, could have believed we would find ourselves so defenseless against romance?
