Music is Good, Love is Better

Erin Moran guests in an episode where a girl comes between two brothers. Plenty of laughs in this one including a pool tournament with disapproving wives. James Gammon provides good comedic support, so does Wilford Brimley. Episode works better with Richard Thomas on camera. Series was better with Thomas, also.

Riding away from Ike Godsey's store on John Boy's mule, Old Blue, Grandpa sings "Go 'Long Mule," a foxtrot published in 1924 and popularized on records by Fletcher Henderson & Louis Armstrong, among others.
