Goofs
Through most of this episode, Morris Thorpe is completely focused and passionate about playing basketball and is consumed by his dream to play in the NBA. He regards drawing as a relaxing. but not a serious pastime. Despite doubts from Coach Reeves regarding his athletic talents, he dominates the game against South High School and is angry when he gets benched to take a breather. However, when Coach Reeves tells him to go back into the game, Thorpe becomes angry at the thought of playing and refuses to leave the bench. He remains angry despite Carver High's big win to take the league championship and the adulation from his teammates, turns down a scholarship to play basketball in college. He lets it be known that art is now his passion and that basketball was his father's dream for him.
