The highlight of this episode is, of course, Wardell. Though not a fan-favorite character on the show-judging by the comments on YouTube-his naiveness and lack of accountability catches up to him in this episode. It starts off humorously with the toilet blowing up in the gym, leading to him befriending a fellow student who steals cars like it's nothing. That night, when the two go carjacking, although Wardell is concerned, but it seems more like an inconvenience to him stealing a car, not realizing the consequences of the situation. While joy-riding the come to a hault where a car infront of them has women passed out. Being hassled by his friend Wardell pull the woman out not knowing there is leak and the car explodes. The women and the media declare him a "hero". After getting a lot of attention at school from both teachers and students-so much so that Wardell appears on a late-night talk show, which turns awkward. In the end, he loses all his glory when he and his accomplice go to the police lot to retrieve Wardell's hat, which he forgot in the stolen car. They get caught, and everything changes for him-from hero to zero. Even the "guys" are not having it. Of course, Coach steps in and gives an honest talk, helping Wardell realize he can't go around lying to people and avoiding responsibility.
A good episode with humor, plot twists, and hard life lessons.
