Making Christmas merry for Don Collier

This Yuletide episode from The Young Riders second season gives Brian Keith as guest star to really steal this one from the regular cast. Too bad he and Anthony Zerbe didn't share more scenes.

After Josh Brolin saves him from an ambush, Brolin brings him back to the station where he cons the riders out of their hard earned money. Of course they start after him.

But Keith is such a likeable cuss that they go into working a con game to help save Don Collier's store from being lost to creditors.. Both Anthony Zerbe and Ty Miller lend yeoman assistance.

Keith is the one that really makes this story work.

Goofs
In the saloon in Blue Creek, the piano player is playing "Away in a Manger." However, that song was written in 1882, two decades after the time of the Pony Express.
