Factual errors

When the executioner throws the switch to execute Jacob Dawes it is already in the on position. Pulling the handle down would turn the power off.

Revealing mistakes

In the closing scene when Riley plays the cello, the cello-sound heard doesn't match what Riley plays.
They say it's Florida state penitentiary however it's actually mira-loma which is in Lancaster CA.

Crew or equipment visible

When Morgan and Elle are at the Sheffields' house and the camera changes to a view of the boy in the backseat of the car, a crew member can be seen moving through the back window of the car,

Errors in geography

This show is based at a state prison in Bradford County, Florida just outside of Starke. This area of Florida is about 138 feet above sea level; however as the team is driving to the prison in the opening scenes, a very large mountain range can be seen in the distance through the windows of the SUV. The Bradford County area is rather lush and green due to the abundance of fresh spring waters, the area around the prison has cattle fields, wooded areas as well; however as the SUV is driving into the prison, not only is the mountain range in clear view, but tumbleweeds are blowing across the road from a field with dead, brown grass.
The town of Keystone Heights is within the appropriate driving distance from the prison for the time line to work. However, it's a small rural area, and houses like the one shown simply don't exist there. The closest town that would have a house that style is Fleming Island, another hour or more north east of the prison.

Character error

When they are in the work shed, Morgan says the killer tortured his victims on a band saw. When he says that, an image of a table saw is shown, not a band saw.
The agents alternate between calling the woman they are profiling "Sarah Jean" and "Sarah Jane."
The reporter outside the prison states that the BAU team are conducting "deathbed" interviews. She should have said death row interviews.
When Hotch shows his cards near the end of the poker game, he shows the ace of clubs, ace of hearts, 8 of hearts and 8 of diamonds, which Jack calls the Dead Man's hand. However, the correct Dead Man's Hand is black aces and eights; ace of clubs, ace of spades, 8 of clubs, 8 of spades.
