      • Trivia
When Mattel first designed the She-Ra Storyline, Catra was going to be She-Ra's main enemy instead of Hordak. Her base was called CatTower and her sidekicks were going to be Entrapta and Castaspella - yes, Castaspella was going to be evil. However, for the animated series, Filmation changed the story to include the Evil Horde group of villains, who were originally created for the Masters of the Universe toy line.
      • Goofs
Battle Cat knocks Catra's mask off, causing her to return to humanoid form, and begins to chase her. However, when he is seen still chasing her a short time later, the mask is back on her head.
      • Quotes

Narrator: Where darkness rules, fights the champion of light. Where hope seems lost, there rides the Rebellion. Together they stand ready against the dark, evil warriors of the Horde and their leader, the terrible Hordak! The Rebellion, armed with hope and ancient powers against the force of an intergalactic army. This is the story of one who will become leader of the Great Rebellion: She-Ra, Princess of Power!

      • Crazy credits
"Into Etheria" starts with an alternate opening sequence narrated by Lou Scheimer which introduces She-Ra and the Great Rebellion, but does not disclose her secret identity.
      • Alternate versions
The music score was restructured for He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword (1985) to compensate for the numerous edits to the original five episodes and is completely different in many scenes.
