    Hi, Jack. Hijack

I know I always say this is great suspense, but once again, it is. The recording is being held by someone on the plane. So the evidence is getting tossed around like a beach ball. We can also see that the terrorist network is getting frustrated with the President. That toady at CTU is messing things up. Great scene with Chloe and the drunk at the bar. But the biggest jolt is the request made by Paul McCrane's character at the very end. Wow!

    Almost Got 'Im

An unusually subdued episode, but far from tedious. The president's increasingly being backed into an corner while Jack takes over a plane in search of the recording. Logan's co-conspirators (pretty much the Bluetooth brigade, led by Paul McCrane) are losing faith in him, Martha's losing the battle over repressing her conscience, and the good guys are slowly-but-surely drawing in (against all odds). This is Charles Logan against a wall, and Gregory Itzin wears that desperation well.

Episode 20 is a riveting blend of action, drama, and character development, maintaining the high standards of the series

Episode 20 of the fifth season of "24" sees Jack Bauer racing against time to prevent another impending disaster. The episode starts with Jack receiving crucial intel that propels him into action. The pacing is relentless, with each scene building on the last to create a continuous sense of urgency and tension. The narrative is tightly woven, with plot twists that keep viewers guessing and engaged. The stakes are higher than ever, and the episode masterfully balances action with moments of strategic planning and character introspection.

One of the standout moments in this episode is a high-stakes standoff between Jack and an adversary. The direction excels here, using close-ups and dynamic camera movements to convey the intensity of the situation. The action sequences are well-executed, providing a visceral and thrilling viewing experience. The episode effectively balances these high-octane moments with quieter scenes that delve into Jack's emotional state and the broader implications of his mission.

Character development continues to be a strong point, with Kiefer Sutherland delivering a nuanced performance as Jack Bauer.
