    Bobby Hates Being Short

Bobby thinks he will never grow when no one takes him seriously because he is little for his age.

One of the best Bobby episodes. Plus Robert Reed directed this one very well, he also directed a good Season 2 episode "The Winner" which also featured Bobby. It starts with a great teaser, where Bobby climbs a ladder and nearly falls, he is rescued by Greg. One of the best scenes is when Sam the butcher tries to cheer up Bobby after jokingly calling him "shrimpo". A subplot has Greg being hired by Sam as a delivery boy. This leads to a great scene where Bobby gets to save Greg.

    TIME TO STREEEEEEETCH.

Fun story, yet dramatic too. Directed by Robert Reed, who occasionally would head a few episodes with very good results.

The proverbial frightmare question that plagued all us kids -- Will I get taller? And when, when, when? Since he's the youngest, and the shortest, everything falls into Bobby's lap. Sick and tired of all the nicknames, he begins a rigorous stretching program by hanging from the swing in the back yard. Bob figures the longer he hangs, the longer his body gets?

You feel sorry for him here, though there's a super cool turn of events. Greg gets a part time job working at Sam's (Allan Melvin) butcher shop. The old meat locker door ain't working too well -- and Greg and Bobby just happen to get locked TIGHT inside.

In a way, this also served as a smart warning for kids to be very careful of any door with a lock on it. So true.

Comes the best part. Since Bobby is short, he's able to crawl through the slim door window, get to a phone and call for help.

Funniest Line; Greg (stuck in the freezer) tosses a dime to Bobby to make a phone call. He catches it and exclaims, "That's a COLD dime!" Kind of reminds you of an old Abbott & Costello routine.

Best of SEASON 3 EPISODE 15 remastered Paramount dvd box set. All five seasons are on blu ray in a single box set. 20 discs. Released 2015. You have a choice, either the purple box cover or the real 70s green shag carpet cover. Wowsome.
