Classic Sitcom-y Episode

When their home gets flooded, The Flintstones invite the Rubbles to stay with them at their house while theirs is being fixed. This is a classic sitcom storyline which many TV shows throughout history have entertained: you never really know someone until you live with them. And since Barney gets on Fred's nerves without living in his house, you can bet he's going to annoy the yabba-dabba-do out of him when he actually is living, sleeping and eating there.

These are my favorite kinds of Flintstones episodes where everything happens with the core group and in the home. No special guest stars, or trips to Hollyrock. Just great cozy fun and plenty of it!

The Rubbles Stay With The Flintstones

Barney's house is flooded, so Fred invites he and Betty to stay in his house until it's repaired.

A funny episode. A good scene at the beginning takes place in a car wash. Wilma thinks Fred and Barney will be fighting if they live together. The guys try to be extra nice to each other. Many funny scenes as Fred gets fed up with Barney.

ABC originally broadcast this episode in black and white.

Goofs
During the car wash scene, when the monkey wipes both Fred and Barney with a towel, Fred's head briefly disappears, alongside the monkey's arm and towel. This can be seen on extreme slow motion on any video player by pausing and selecting forward.
