Yet another episode with incredible foreshadowing.....

To quote Homer Simpson from this episode: "You know, one day, honest citizens are gonna stand up to you crooked cops!"

Chief Wiggum: "They are? Oh, no! Have they set a date?"

Yes Chief Wiggum in fact they have. The date is set for Monday, May 25th 2020. No worries though, he had 27 years to prepare for this current uprising....... ;)

Oh yes and this episode is spectacular. One of few episodes where Ralph really has character development, and it is more than a pleasure to see! Along with several classic quotes and moments, I Love Lisa is a classic Simpsons episode from 1993!

The forgotten presidents song and Bart playing John Wilkes Booth were my favorite scenes from this episode personally.

    History Lesson About Love

Ralph falls for Lisa when she gives him his only Valentine out of pity. This leads to the sad little boy fawning all over her. It eventually brings cruelty. Several funny bits. Krusty has an anniversary show. There is a tribute to less than successful presidents. The song is fantastic.

    Unhand me yankee

The play scene is the best part, with Bart dressed up as John welks booth and tries to assassinate milhouse was the funniest thing I've seen in the show!

    Lisa Has a Boyfriend?

This is the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of the Simpsons and it's a very good episode, one with a satisfying romantic background. The episode revolves with Lisa falling in love, or shall we say some boy falling in love with Lisa. It was also funny to watch how easily corrupt the cops are in Springfield, especially Chief Wiggum. But on the whole, this is a pretty funny episode.

In this episode, "I Love Lisa," Lisa gives her classmate Ralph a Valentine's Day card out of sympathy, but Ralph takes it the wrong way and he falls in love with Lisa, although Lisa does not return the favor. When Ralph gets tickets for the Krusty Klown anniversary show, Lisa makes her feelings become true to Ralph.

Overall, this is a very good episode that tackles on weighty issues such as romance. The cultural references are excellent as usual as my favorite scene is Bart channeling his inner Arnold Schwarzenegger in a terrific Terminator 2 sequence. Plus I love how Krusty rocks out to a Doors song, so that was funny. Another fun episode! I rate this episode 9/10.

One line and then you get shot

Lisa gives Ralph a valentines card out of pity.

This is a very enjoyable episode and a great showing for the Wiggums.

Lisa soon regrets a charitable act in this episode, and the consequences are quite hilarious. All the scenes involving Ralph and Clancy are very funny. Principal Skinner's Apocalypse Now tribute is also a standout moment.

The humour gets less vicious towards the end and even a bit heartwarming, so it feels like a nice conclusion to a little character arc.

For me it's an 8.5/10 but I round upwards.

[showing Lisa his tape of the Krusty Anniversary Show, where Lisa rejected Ralph]

Bart: Watch this, Lis. You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half.

[he advances the tape in slow motion]

      Bart: And... now!

[on the tape, Ralph gives a little whimper; Lisa groans]
