"I'll Never Forget What's Her Name" closed out the black and white first season, opening with Major Nelson expecting a visit from Miss Gordon (Greta Lenetska), a friend of his aunt in Denver. A bop on the head from a fallen vase delivers a loss of memory, and though he still knows his own name he fails to recognize Jeannie, mistaking her for Miss Gordon. Jeannie cannot blink him out of his current state, reluctant to tell him about his genie in a bottle because he's crazy about her. Old buddy Roger is determined to tell Tony the truth, but every time he tries Jeannie blinks him elsewhere. Roger's tales of frostbite, the bends, and a pygmy attack leave poor Dr. Bellows dizzier than usual. Tony is determined to marry Jeannie, and thinks that Roger is crazy for insisting that she's actually a genie in a bottle. Another conk on the head restores his memory, disappointing the girl who wanted to be his bride.
