When Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby, it was daytime (Libby had gone to the hatch to get blankets for her picnic date with Hurley). Meanwhile, Jack, Locke, and Kate were at the beach, to get the guns from Sawyer. When the four of them return to the hatch, however, it's dark. Shortly after, when Sawyer and Kate return to the beach to get the heroin for Libby, it's daytime again and Hurley asks if they've seen Libby, as he is still waiting for her to return for their picnic.
