Walter & Arthur great buddy act

Shame Conrad Bain wasn't in more classic sitcoms like Maude, other than the dull part he played in stinker "Different Strokes". First thing I notice about this series is it's snappy writing. Maude is so manly, and her daughter (Adrienne Barbeau) is the epitome of femininity. Carol's new blue outfit is definitely a winner. I like how they played it with Philip, he's talked about, but very little seen of him. Hopefully that continues.

    Conrad Bain's first appearance

Maude's next door neighbor Arthur Harmon is upset when Carol's son Phillip is caught playing doctor with Arthur's granddaughter.

Bain makes his debut as Arthur, Maude's uptight conservative nemesis and Walter's best friend. His shocked expressions and line delivery make for some of the series funniest moments. Maude and Carol talk about how the human body is beautiful and nothing wrong with curiosity about nudity. Walter gets drunk and decides to get naked for the funniest scene.

Lindsey Graham look a like and a Bleeper?

Conrad Bain looks like senator Lindsey Graham and his conservative views sound just like him also.

    Was a pager/beeper originally called a Bleeper?
