Excellent
Considering the basis it has been put together special effects are not bad and the scripts are done simply enough to carry this off, particularly considering the audience it is designed for.
The episode with "Rascal" was quite funny and is a good example of the entire series.
Aside from this Katie Sheridan (Sophie Norton) is absolutely lovely and sparkles on screen.
I imagine she will have many dads glued to the TV and I hope to see a lot more of her on other programmes (TV Companies take note).
Harmless fun, perfect for the kids ...
If you have kids under 12 and want them to watch something that will keep them entertained this is the show. It's not going to teach them anything but then what on Nickelodeon does these days!
The 2 girls, Sophie and Emma, are pretty and well mannered and there is usually a moral to the story in the end of each episode. The father, Philip, plays a bit of a "dorky dad" and the genie is always getting the girls into trouble, but is amusing and acts very well.
On the whole a nice piece of entertaining TV for the kids - gets my thumbs up!
decent show
So many times people have found a lamp and there's a genie inside, they wish and the wish "doesn't go to plan" Its a decent show, But eventually you are likely to get bored of the same similar plot lines...
I would say that this show is good for 7-11 year olds because of the simple plot lines.
I think that the lack of budget is the reason behind its poor ratings.
Yikes! This show is BAD!

- TriviaLoosely based on a myth of a genie of the lamp from the classic novel A Thousand and One Arabian Nights about a young boy Aladdin and a genie of the magic lamp. Much like Aladdin, Adil is also a teenager, only now his masters are a modern Western family.
- Quotes
Sophie Norton: [to Emma] Yesterday, you did ask me if Joan of Arc was Noah's wife.
- Crazy creditsAdil conjures up the names of the cast members but can't do it quite right: Katie Sheridan's name deflates and flies around, Vicky Longley's name comes out mixed up and has to be kicked into place, Jordan Metcalf's name is too heavy and falls on Adil's foot & Adam Morris's melts on his head.
