    Plagiaristic but still fun

Based upon the fact that The Ronnies were allowed to use the theme tune to ITV's 1975 ( theoretical, but actual, comedy)The Hanged Man (not too awkward, as they only would only need to pay a fee to the Performing Rights Society), this series sees Le Ronalds A Deux at one of their lowest ebbs: - hopefully the DVD issues include the singing guest stars. Sir Ronald of the Corbett's armchair monologues have become the most substantial and essential aspects of this never ending series.

    It's quality episode.

The legendary duo return for a sixth series, sketches include The Ministry for Mispronunciation and The Eye test, Piggy Malone and Charlie Farley begin their investigation at Drake's Bottom. Music comes from The Nolan Sisters.

The scene in The Opticians is a classic moment, one of my favourite sketches, a shame it's gone from YouTube, it meant digging out the DVDs. My old optician used to have a picture of the sketch in his room, it's brilliant, 'no you're reading all the furniture.'

Stop you're killing me is awesome, it's up there with Phantom Raspberry blower and The worm that turned. It's very funny, gloriously over the top, love the music.

Ronnie C's monologue is terrific as always, his glorious delivery about the man that went out to shoot the bear is wonderful.

The pair just got better and better, their word play and delivery is unmatched, the duo were phenomenal.

    8/10.

Ronnie Corbett tells his version of an old joke about Pearl Harbor, in which a confused Japanese pilot who "every December 12th takes a sentimental journey and bombs Pearl Bailey." He is off by a few days, as the Pearl Harbor "day of infamy", as FDR called it, was December 7, 1941.

      [Corbett visits the optician]

Ronnie Corbett: It can be rather inconvenient, you know, spectacles. . . . Do you wear them at all?

Ronnie Barker: Well, I must confess, yes, I do wear them, yes, but only for reading and for seeing things, you know.
