      Charlie Farley is getting close.

After the usual amusing introductions, the laughs begin. In the first sketch, one man tries to care for his brother with tablets; Doctor Spooner seeks a book but gets his words muddled. Piggy Malone and Charlie Farley continue their investigations, spotting several nurses in Drake's Bottom. A hotel laundryman has issues with the new assistant manager.

In the first sketch, you really see how energetic and physical Ronnie Corbett was; such a good performer. Barker's wordplay in the Spooner sketch, as always, is perfection. I honestly don't know how he did it.

Once again, the Charlie Farley sketch felt as though it came straight out of 'Allo 'Allo; very funny, though! I love that the humor is mixed with some genuine tension; it's brilliant.

Was the Arkwright reference to 'Open All Hours'? It would have been two years old when this went out.

I don't always love the musical numbers, but, the barbershop musical is magical.

David Jackson plays the angry camper, a huge man best known for playing Gan in 'Blake's 7.'

I've had enough of the Nolan Sisters to last me a lifetime.

      7/10.

In the laundry-chute sketch, Ronnie Corbett's character introduces himself as "Mr Arkwright", the name of Ronnie Barker's main character in Open All Hours (1976), which had just debuted in the first of its four series. Both The Two Ronnies (1971) and Open All Hours (1976) were BBC productions.
