    Worst Episode of the Series

I've debated on this for many years, but overall The Dark Side of the Moon has to be the worst episode of The Six Million Dollar Man. Season five's "Dead Ringer" and "the Lost Island" come in pretty close though. Most of the fifth season contains the worst episodes. The Dark Side of the Moon contains some of the most ridiculous writing of the series. Earth has access to 1000 asteroids and can freely travel freely to them. NASA can be fooled and not even know where their only spacecraft is. A lunar module with a 25 foot ceiling, Space helmets that look like they came from Toys R Us. Plus they just happen to have a 50 steel rod with them to incapacitate Steve's bionics, just to name a few. The show as pretty solid for a 70's sci-fi show until the 5th season and this particular episode.

    • Trivia
One of this season's producers, Fred Freiberger had been involved in the British-made series Space:1999 prior to this episode, whose main premise was the moon being knocked out of the Earth's orbit, causing catastrophic conditions on Earth as it was leaving. Ironically, Freiberger wasn't involved with this episode (or at least wasn't credited).
    • Goofs
On more than one occasion, Rudy reminds Steve that his bionics cannot function in extreme cold. So how, while Steve was trapped in the sub-zero chamber with his defective spacesuit letting the cold air in, was he able to use his bionics to force himself out of there?
