Tornado World

This episode was filled with bad CGI, but the saving grace was guest star Corey Feldman and sweet, sexy farmer Jacob, played by Tim Griffin. Otherwise, this episode would've been intolerable due to the bad CGI. I just had to remind myself that this was made back in the 90s, so we can't expect better. The story was decent because it was unique and unexpected. Who would have ever thought about creating electric tornados? This is what happens when government blockheads decide to use new, dangerous technology as a military weapon.

Trivia
Corey Feldman guest starred here as Reed Mechiner. He and Jerry O'Connell (Quinn) were in Stand by Me (1986) together. Near the end, when Reed tells Quinn to leave, they give an odd handshake gesture. This gesture is the "give me some skin" gesture from Stand By Me.

Goofs
Quinn tells Rembrandt that the wind phenomenon the young boy is about to "ride" is not a dust devil, but a twister. However tornadoes (aka "twisters") always form in contact between the ground and a storm cloud. As there are no clouds at all in the sky, the spinning formation is in fact a dust devil.
