San Fran Gambling

The group lands on a world where the gambling mecca is located in northern California, not Las Vegas. You have mob bosses and competing crime families. The sliders land in the middle of a wedding between the two powerful families, and the focus is on Rembrandt. On this world, he is the Deputy FBI Director and leads the so-called Incorruptibles against crime, albeit with a pauper's budget. We even see a guest star appearance by Mel Torme, although tragedy strikes when the mob believes that he's working with Rembrandt. This was a good episode full of twists and turns. I enjoyed the ending, but was glad to see the group leave this corrupt world. At least it's a lesson on the dangers of extremely low taxes.

Mel Tormé, who appears here as himself, is the father of Tracy Tormé, one of the creators of the show.

When the group is checking into the Dominion Hotel, Rembrandt stands on an actor's tape mark.
