Great Gory Halloween episode
There have been a bunch of Christmas episodes of South Park but only four Halloween episodes come to mind.Pinkeye is the first Halloween episode of South Park.I think its great! It's fairly funny and has lots of gore with the South Park kids killing zombies! Basically it's Halloween in South Park, a space shuttle kills Kenny and he is sent to the morgue. There after a drainage gone wrong, he becomes a zombie and bites the two people at the morgue, they then go on to bite people and pretty soon, most of the town becomes zombies.Though they mistake it for Pinkeye.Meanwhile, Kyle is dressed as Chewbacca, Cartman as Hitler and Stan as Raggedy Andy.Stan dresses like that so Wendy will dress as Raggedy Ann and they can enter the costume contest together where the first prize is a lot of candy.Wendy dresses as Chewbacca instead and Stan gets ridiculed by everyone.Cartman gets in trouble for his Hitler costume and the principal makes a ghost costume for him(only it looks like a Klansman). They go trick or treating but everyone is a zombie, so with the help of Chef, they must find a way to turn everybody back to normal.Pinkeye is a great Halloween South Park episode!
First Halloween episode
It's a fun idea, Worcestershire Sauce zombies. However it's not as intelligent or creative or clever as the previous few episodes. Just a fun Halloween tie-in.
Zombies are a done to death idea after all. But it's fun to see the South Park spin on the concept.
Kenny dies multiple times.
The various costumes are hilarious- I love Stan's Raggedy Andy!

Don't ever embalm somebody with Worchestershire Sauce
Although there is something about current events or references to pop culture in every episode, I think South Park was best in these early seasons before it went down the road of Law & Order and every episode became "ripped from the headlines" complete with a preachy message. This first Halloween episode is great where apparently it is discovered that accidentally embalming someone with Worcestorshire sauce causes them to become brain eating zombies as in "Night of the Living Dead". Local physicians examine the zombies and notice they have no pulse, no blood pressure, and puffy eyes. They diagnose the zombies with pink eye and prescribe eye drops. Chef becomes a zombie and does an imitation of Michael Jackson in "Thriller", and Stan faces the ultimate conundrum when his beloved Wendy becomes a zombie herself and is coming right for him. Will he be able to kill her with his chainsaw or will he just stand there and let her bite him? Or is there some other way out? Watch and find out.
Parker and Stone were unhappy with this early episode, but it got a great deal of positive feedback, even with the bit about Cartman wearing a Hitler Halloween costume to school, and, in her first appearance, Principal Victoria putting a bed sheet over him in an attempt to make him look like a ghost. Instead he resembles a member of the Ku Klux Klan and frightens Chef (the voice of the late Isaac Hayes).
By this time most viewers "got" that South Park was not a show about foul mouthed little boys, it was just using them as a front for a combination of broad slap stick, parody, and making fun of political correctness.

My first South Park episode
This episode was the very first time when I had the chance of seeing South Park: I was still a kid back then, but i immediately loved it: It was so radically different to any other cartoon I had seen before, being far wackier and far more unpredictable than series like The Simpsons or The Critic (The only "adult" cartoons I had the chance to see prior to this)
And while the humor of those early episode might seem a little bit too "simple" in comparison of the satirical elements of later episodes, I think those episodes are still fun to watch, having a certain surreal charm which sadly the series seem to lack nowadays.

Did you know
- TriviaComedy Central had reservations about Cartman dressing up as Hitler (which offends Kyle because he is Jewish) and sought ideas for other possible costumes, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone insisted it had to be the Hitler costume. Once the episode aired, however, the two received very few letters from upset viewers over the costume; Parker attributed this to the fact that people were becoming more familiar with the Cartman, and thus recognized that most of what he said and did was usually wrong.
- GoofsIn the Mir space station scene, the astronauts are seen with the Dutch flag, instead of the Russian one, on their chest.
- Alternate versionsIn the Spanish Castilian dubbing Tina Yothers was changed to Shirley Temple.
