The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers

It's got everything South Park is good at: innocence tainted by adult content in a comedic manner, a sharp contrast of the nerdiest media entertainment to a mature, confrontational social situation, social commentary of what it's like for an adult couple with an "active" lifestyle while raising children, the life and minds of young boys, movie parodies and references to modern trends (at its time) up the butt, situational humor on an animated level, offensive humor masked by innocent animated characters, and just good 'ol classic South Park shenanigans.

A perfect episode for the serious fan, and cautious investigator unfamiliar with the series. Welcome to the best of animated adult humor. So good.

As a great fan of "The Lord of the Rings" and South Park, this is for me a perfect combination.

Everything here fits.

From the references, how well introduced are, the jokes, the stupid premise of a South Park episode about confunding a Porno movie, the roles of the characters, how the kids are "being kids", playing and acting so innocently, on contrast of the parents and how despair are for his stupidy, Butters being Gollum and a Porn addict, one of the best endings of a South Park episode, theat made me laugh so hard...

It's such deservly one of the best episodes of the show. And also works as an amazing tribute of the trilogy itself.

This is peak South Park. This episode isnt in the conversation enough. People talk about Warcraft, Imagination Land, and Scott Tenorman, which they are classic episodes. This one is just as great as some of SP 10/10 episodes, but its not brought up anymore. Well I'm going to give this episode its flowers. This whole episode from concept of the tape, to riffing on LOTR, to hilarious quotables, is peak South Park. This one is gut busting, even now all these years later. One of many perfect episodes, but this one was unfortunately left behind. 11/10.
