- [runs out of the building with the Slayer close behind]
- Spider-Man: [watching the scene] Looks like the Spider-Slayer found its next target. My lucky day. I get to save Eddie Brock and still have time to be blown to bits.
- [after Smythe holds J. Jonah Jameson hostage along with Spider-Man]
- Spider-Man: Hey, don't look at me. Maybe you didn't deliver his paper this morning.
