James learns about the bad side of politics.

In this episode the most naive staff member, James Hobert, learns a lesson in politics when one of his former professor in college, Dr Bronsteen, is picked for for Chancellor of New York public schools. But when a video tape of Dr Bronsteen surfaces about a incident that happened some twenty years ago, it appears that the Mayor's staff does not want to fight the press about the nomination. However, James still believes in Bronsteen and wants Mike to support the good doctor for the position. But it is not going to happen.

James now believes that one has to be cold and rough to be in politics and is changing his easy going ways. It will be up to Flaherty to help James through this crisis.

This is the first episode that deals with a minor cast member and the quirks and humor that the character portrays. Alexander Chaplin (James Hobert in the show) becomes the office simpleton with the flare for speech writing that makes the show enjoyable to watch. The character becomes a part of the group as the viewer feels introduced to a member of the cast and accepts him as part of the family. Good watch.
