The story picks up right where season one ended.

Season two picks up right where season one left the viewer, as the press is still hounding Mike about why the Mayor and Paul went for an unscheduled trip to Miami. The press was not informed about Paul traveling with the Mayor so when Mike came up with the story of 'the Mayor helping a friend with a nervous breakdown'- Paul volunteers that he was with the Mayor in Miami. Now the word is out that Paul is the one that had a nervous breakdown.

Mike believes that he can soften the story after a psychiatrist examines Paul. But during the exam things do not go as planned. Paul is committed to a health care facility.

Even though the episode ties together the two seasons, the story about the trip to Miami was never interesting. So when we get another script that picks up where the trip left us, it still does not make much sense to viewers. There was a side story about Mike representing the Mayor in his divorce case and it falls for the female lawyer that is representing the Mayor's wife.- but there was no time given for the situation to get interesting. Here is hoping for better shows in the second season. But for now, this episode is not one of them.

Although the Mayor tells Paul he cannot stay with him at Gracie Mansion because there is only one bedroom, in real life Paul would not legally be able to stay overnight at Gracie Mansion. Only the current Mayor's family members or visiting public officials may stay overnight in the mansion. When Rudy Giuliani was mayor, he moved out of Gracie Mansion because his then-girlfriend could not legally sleep overnight there.
