    What a great Funny episode

I laugh and smile the all episode, one of the very best from spin city, and a special apparition from Frankie Muniz AKA Malcolm ! From the best Comedy ever.

The Mayor accidentally donates his kidney.

Mike and the Mayor go to the Children's hospital to visit with some of the children. When they enter one of the rooms a child, Derek, is sick waiting in hopes of finding a kidney to survive. While the Mayor is talking with Derek, in come sport stars Jayson Williams and Jeff Gordon. Now it turns into who can impress the child the most. With Williams and Gordon saying all they were going to do for the child, all of the sudden the Mayor says that he will donate his kidney. The contest is won.

Now the Mayor has regrets about what he said. When the nurse comes in to begin blood samples the Mayor is nervous. Mike will help him out by going through the blood withdraw with him. It turns out that the Mayor is not a good match for donation but Mike just happens to be a perfect match. Now Mike is the one that regrets his decision.

But when Arthur, Nikki's boyfriend, says he will donate his kidney instead of Mike, Mike then turns this into another match where he will not let Arthur take credit. Mike is now determined to donate his kidney.

This actually turned out to be a rather interesting and fun show. The concept of the Mayor trying to outdo everyone else and then Mike trying to outdo Arthur made for an entertaining episode. One of the better scenes come near the end when Mike is in the hospital right before they are taking him back for the operation. Will not give away the moment but it was quite funny. Good watch.

Arthur says that he's a "universal donor" because he has O+ blood type, but that's wrong, O- is the universal blood donor type.
    • Quotes

Mike Flaherty: [in hospital] Doc, this operation, it won't hurt, will it?

Dr. Cosimi: You shouldn't feel a thing.

Mike Flaherty: Shouldn't? You mean won't, right? Or definitely will not.

Dr. Cosimi: Yes, most likely will not.
