Mike and Ashley are no longer a item.

In this sentimental episode, Mike and Ashley have broken up. Mike tells the staff that it was a mutual agreement since her job took her out to the west coast. But there is more to the story.

When Mike fails to come in for work, the staff begins to worry about him. And it becomes clear to everyone that this break-up is hard for Mike to take. While Niiki has a date, Mike makes an appearance at her apartment. Later Mike reveals to Nikki the true facts of the fallen relationship. It is going to take some time for Mike to get over this situation.

There really is not much to this episode. The show really just reveals the reason that Ashley will not longer be part of the regular cast and to make the character of Mike Flaherty seem more vulnerable. After this show my hope is that the writers will get back to the daily conflict that arise in office situations.
