Too much going on in this full episode.

Even though the main story of Mike thinking that he needs to return to church was not really that interesting. The other story of Mayor Winston having a religious eye-opening gave us some humorous scenes.

The Pope has made a visit to City Hall and all of the sudden the Mayor wants to spread the message of hope. Of course, his hope is not what others expect from religion but the Mayor tows on.

Mike, on the other hand, has not been to church in years and the Pope's visit causing him to rethink some of the falsehoods that he tells other employees. And when he comes face to face with a truck driver that looks like Jesus, Mike thinks it has been too long since confession.

Both stories were just mildly entertaining but the scenes with Barry Bostwick made for some good comedy. There is nothing really wrong with the script, it just felt like the stories moves so fast there was not time to get involved with the characters. There about five things going on in this episode and when the credits roll the viewer is not sure what just happened.

During a papal visit to City Hall, Mayor Winston holds a giant cross and tells Mike that "His Eminence" gave it to him as a gift. The proper title for the Pope is "His Holiness." "His Eminence" is used to refer to cardinals.
    • Quotes

Mayor Randall M. Winston Jr.: [Paul's pet turtle Frank has been missing] The Pope's visit inspired me a great deal and like him, my goal is to spread the message of hope. Paul, your turtle is dead.

Paul Lassiter: That can't be true, Sir. Frank is a fighter.

Mayor Randall M. Winston Jr.: No he's not. You have to heal yourself and move on. Besides, a turtle is a stupid dumb animal probably doesn't even know he's dead.

Paul Lassiter: Thank you, Sir. Your words are of great comfort to me.
