Funny easter eggs, and a Funny episode But Im kinda sad for Mike and his love life...

Mike keeps a promise he made years ago.

The main part of this story is that it is now Mike Flaherty's 30th birthday and the staff is wondering what to get him for his day. When a letter comes in the mail from a high school sweetheart, Renee Miller, Mike remembers the promise that he made her years ago. If they were both not married then they would meet on top of the Empire State Building on his 30th birthday. Mike takes a long shot and goes to see the old friend.

When Mike gets to the top of the building he is indeed happy to see Renee just as beautiful as when he left her. But there is going to be more activity on the building top. It seems that Mike talks a little too much around certain people.

The episode also has a story where the Mayor wants Carter to see if his nephew happens to be gay. The situation was slightly amusing but really went no where during the show.

When the episode was over there really was little that had been accomplished. This is not to say that the story was not interesting, it was just common with no anticipated outcome. It almost felt like the episode was for naught. But in situation comedies you expect some shows to be similar, so this is a show that will at least entertain for a few minutes.
