People say Cartoons nowadays are too political. I'd argue they're not political enough.

This episode covered a serious topic about racism more raw and more realistic than any other modern show. The cartoon format is an excellent place to make social commentary and a place not many people expect to see when they watch it. The way Richie's Dad talks about minorities is raw and real. It's something many people nowadays continue to believe which is saddening considering it's been a full 20 years and we're still grappling over racism. It was a fun episode to watch and kept me entertained for the whole runtime. I'm considering watching the whole series after watching this episode. Loved it.

    • Quotes

Robert Hawkins: [to Richie Foley's dad, while searching for Richie] I've seen your kind all my life. The fine outstanding bigot. His nose so close to the grindstone even he can't see anything else. Meanwhile, the world changes and grows, and he's blind to it! Ignorant! And proud of that, too! And you know the worst part? You've got a terrific son. One of the best and brightest around. And because of the way you are, you'll never really know him.
